William R. Honeytop Taylor Jr.of 100 Bowman St.;North Charleroi;died Monday;Oct.25;1982;at 12:30 a.m.in Monongahela Valley Hospital;Inc.;Carroll Twp. Mr.Taylor was 52. He was born Oct.2;1930;in Pricedale;a son of Myrtle Taylor of North Charleroi;who survives;and the late William R.Taylor Sr.;who died in 1975. He was a member of Mount Sinai Baptist Church;North Charleroi;where he served on the Board of Trustees. Mr. Taylor had owned and operated the William R.Taylor Funeral Home in Monessen for the past several years. He was the Exalted Ruler of Monessen Elks Okay Lodge No.697. Mr.Taylor was alos a member of Pricedale Twin Lodge 67;F&AM;and Joseph H.Ford Post 691 of The American legion in Monessen. He was a veteran of the
Korean Conflict; having served with the U.S. Army.
Mr. Taylor was a 1949
graduate of Charleroi High
School and attended California State College. He also was
graduated in 1958 from the
Pittsburgh Mortuary School.
In 1973; he was graduated
from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine
after completing a course
developed through the
cooperation of the Department of Opthalmology and
the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.
A former deputy coroner;
Mr. Taylor was active with
the Eye Bank program.

both of Monessen; and Eric

James Trombino of 415 Market St.;Belle Vernon;died Friday;Sept.3;1982;at 4:14 a.m.in Montiefiore Hospital;Pittsburgh. He was 85. Mr.Trombino was born Dec.17;1896;in Vincenza;Italy;and had been a resident of Belle Vernon Since 1920. He was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Mr.Trombino retired in 1961 from the fabric department of the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He served in the Italian Army during World War I for 54 months;from 1914-1918. Survivors include his widow;Helen Sylvester Trombino;three sons;Robert A.and James N.;both of Belle Vernon;and Jerry of McKeesport;one daughter;Mrs.Wilford (Rose) Grant of Crafton;one brother and three sisters;Luigi;Maria;Concetta and Tedesina;all of Italy;11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Evan W.Thomas;75;of 924 Fayette Ave.;Belle Vernon;died at 5 a.m. Wednesday;March 17;1982;at Mease Hospital and Clinic in Dunedin;Fla. He was 75. Mr.Thomas had been wintering in Florida since November. Born in Scranton April 2;1906;Mr.Thomas lived in Belle Vernon for most of his life. An employee of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel since age 15;at his retirement 11 years ago;Mr.Thomas was supervisor of the Mechanical Maintenance Dept.there. He was a master mechanic by trade. A member of the United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;he also was a past master of the F&AM Lodge 643 of Belle Vernon and a member of the Syria Temple Shrine of Pittsburgh and Mon Valley Caravan No.17. Survivors include his widow Mary Stanger Thomas;a son;E.Richard Thomas of Greensburg;and three half-sisters and one half-brother. Mrs.Trenk was born Dec.14;1902 in Fairhope;a daughter of Joseph and Mary Kovatch. She was preceded in death by her husband;Paul Trenk in 1973;and three sisters;Mary Potin;Ethel Miller and Bea Komora. A life-long resident of the Fairhope and Lynnwood communities;Mrs.Trenk was Presbyterian by faith.
