Mr.Urban was born April 1;1917;in Charleroi;a son of the late Charles and Catherine Urbanowicz. He retired in 1979 after 44 years of service as a salesman with Check’s Furniture Co.of Monessen. Mr.Urban was a U.S.Marine Corps veteran of World War II and had the rank of private first class. He had resided in Belle Vernon since 1952;moving there from an earlier residence in Charleroi. Mr.Urban was a member of American Legion Post No.659 in Belle Vernon. His first wife;Hazel Glasser Urban;died in 1965. Surviving are his wife;Josephine Restivo Gallagher Urban;two daughters;Mrs.Owen (Patricia) Weldon of Belle Vernon and Kathryn Urban of Ridgewood;N.J.;two step-daughters;Dorie Lambert and Mrs.Albert (Alice) Baker;both of Belle Vernon;11 grandchildren;and four great-grandchildren. One sister and one brother are deceased. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. She was born in Rostraver Township on Aug.26;1915;the daughter of the late David Sylvester and Sarah Elizabeth (Pore) Scholl. Mrs.Trickett was a homemaker and loved to bake pies;make quilts and play cards. A member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church in Rostraver Township;she was a member of the Alpha and Omega Class at the church;served as an elder from 1972 to 1975;and as a deacon from 1992 to 1995. She was also a member of Rostraver Grange 919. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law;Kaye L.and John Houk of Rogers City;Mich.;three grandchildren;Jason Trickett Lammers;Richard Houk and wife;Connie;and Michele Houk;and two great grandsons;Seth and Nathan Houk.
