SP-5 Edward James Armentrout;22;of Belle Vernon R.D.2;who was serving with the U.S.Army in Germany;died in an auto accident in Germany on Friday;Oct.14;1966. The family was informed by the U.S.Army that death was due to an auto accident. Armentrout was born in Mt.Pleasant Sept.22;1944. He graduated from Elkins High School in Elkins;W.Va.in 1962 and entered the service shortly after. His family returned to the Belle Vernon area about two years ago. Armentrout had served in Viet Nam prior to being transferred to Germany. Surviving are his mother and father;James E.and Margaret Harvey Armentrout of Belle Vernon R.D.2;and an aunt;Ruth E.Harvey of Belle Vernon R.D.2.
