Andrew W.Davenport;81;of Roscoe died this morning at 6 o’clock in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Coalvale;Tenn.;a son of the late Stephen and Amanda Smith Davenport. He was a retired millwright of the Charleroi plant of Corning Glass Works. He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose 338;Roscoe; Slovak Club of Roscoe;Allenport Rod and Gun Club;Turkeyfoot Rod and Gun Club of Confluence. Surviving are three sons;George of Roscoe;with whom he made his home;Clyde of Speers and Elmer of Worthington;Ind.;one daughter;Mrs.John (Karthryn) Hanchin of Belle Vernon;two stepsons;John A.Gibson of Coal Center R.D.1 and Charles Neilson of Baltimore;Md.;one stepdaughter;Mrs.Alfred (Audrey) Malmgren of Coal Center R.D.1;four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Ruth Eckert Funeral Home;Roscoe;where a service will be held Thursday;May 27;at 1 p.m. with the Rev.James Cuppert of United Presbyterain Church of Roscoe officiating.
