Richard V.Fields;43;burgess of Belle Vernon;died suddenly Thursday;April 23;1953;at 11:45 a.m. He was a fireman on the Monessen-Southwestern Railroad and was returning from work when his death occurred. He was a member of the Vernon Rod and Gun Club;Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Company;No.2;East Belle Vernon Athletic Association;Italian Beneficial Society;Grand Lodge of pennsylvania;Order Sons of Italy and Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association. He was serving his second term as burgess when stricken.
