Mrs.Virginia Ferguson;76;of 133 State St.;Belle Vernon;died suddenly at her home at 5 p.m.;Monday;Oct.4;1971. She was born in Webster May 3;1895;the daughter of Thomas P.and Eva Beeler Dent. Mrs.Ferguson was a member of the Mon Valley Chapter of the Daughters of the Americas Revolution;a member of the United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon and had been superintendent of the primary department of the Methodist Sunday School for more than 25 years. Her husband;Malcolm;died in 1949 and a daughter;Mrs.Jean Melenyzer;died April 10;1970. Surviving are two sons; Malcolm C.of Tullytown;Pa.and Shelby D.of Belle Vernon;her mother;Eva Dent of Fairhope;two brothers;Charles Dent of Detroit and Dr.Aland C.Dent of Fayette City;one sister;Mrs.Harold Humphries of St.Petersburg;Fla.;13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
