Arthur Edward Gordon; age 80 of Pricedale died on Tuesday;December 13; 1977 at the Brownville Golden Age Nursing Home after succumbing to a long illness. Born in the West Indies; Mr. Gordon moved to Victoria Tennesse with his family when he was a small child. A retired coal miner; Mr. Gordon lived in Pricedale for 60 years. He was a member of Pleasant Green AME church; a member of the United Mine Workers of America and a member of the Masonic Temple in Pricedale. He was proceeded in death by his wife; Mabel Calloway Gordon in 1955; a sister Emma Zora Gordon in 1959; a brother Clarence Gordon in 1973; and a brother Alyous Gordon in 1954. Mr. Gordon leaves to cherish his memory two sons; Oscar Gordon of Pricedale and William Junie Gordon of Long Beach California;one daughter; April LaVonne Bizzelle of Pricedale;6 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Pleasant Green AME Church in Pricedale from 4 p.m.to 9 p.m.Thursday and Friday and until the time of the service on Saturday at 1 p.m.;with the Rev.Bertha Sydnor;officiating. She was a pioneer resident
of Belle Vernon and a lifelong
member of the Speers St.
A.M.E. Church; Belle Vernon.
She was preceded in death
by her husband; James Ernest
Goe on Jan. 11; 1967.
Three sisters and six
brothers also preceded her in
death.
Survivors include two sons;
Kenneth Andrew Goe and
Paul Lawrence Goe; both of
Belle Vernon; a daughter;
Mrs. Ernestyne Goe Bedford
of Donora; two nieces; Mrs.
Phyllis Williams and Mrs.
Lillian Walker; both of Pittsburgh; five granddaughters;
two grandsons; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Donora; after 7 p.m . Wednesday and
in the Speers St. A.M.E.
