George Joseph Hela;23;a Coast Guardsman from Fayette City;was killed in East Moriches;N.Y.;when the car he was driving crashed into a tree;Saturday;July 11;1964;at 11:55 p.m. Mr.Hela;son of George and Elizabeth Brody Hela;was assigned to the Coast Guard radio station at East Moriches. He was pronounced dead at 11:55 p.m.at the scene of the crash. He was graduated from Bellmar High School five years ago and had been in the service since. In addition to his parents;he is survived by two brothers;John;who has a nine-year service record with the Coast Guard in Okinawa;Stephen at home;and two sisters;Betty Jean Acklin;Fayette City;and Margaret Ann at home.
