past three weeks.
Born in Port Royal;Pa.; she
was a former resident of Monessen.
She was preceded hi death
by her husband; Edwin Hopton;
in 1937.
Surviving;in addition to her
daughter;Mrs. John (June)
Stieska;are two other daughters;
Mrs. Leona Kelly of Dearborn;
Mich.;and Mrs. Steven
(Betty Lola) Sweda of Garden
City;Mich.; one son; William
Edwin Hopton;also of Garden
City;Mich.;14 grandchildren;
five great – grandchildren; one
brother;John Kulow of Weirton
Heights. W. Va.; and one sister;
Henrietta Kulow of Uniontown.
Friends will be received after
7 p.m. Monday at the Rhome Funeral Home;Monessen;where a service will be held in the chapel Wednesday;Aug.4;1971;at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.Thomas R.Stennett of St.Paul’s Lutheran Church;Monessen;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rhome funeral directors in charge of arrangements.

Steve Hayduk;51;commander of Charleroi Arden Calvert Post 167;Veterans of Foreign Wars;died at 1:30 p.m.Tuesday;July 13;1971;while vacationing in Atlantic City;N.J. Mr.Hayduk;who was born in Belle Vernon June 20;1920;was a resident of 412 Jones St.;Belle Vernon. He was the son of Mrs.Mary and the late Steve Hayduk. He was a member of St.Cyril & Methodius R.C.Church;Charleroi. He was department manager at Mon-Valley Provision Co.;Charleroi. Besides his mother;he is survived by his widow;Carol Davenport Hayduk;two brothers;John of Belle Vernon and Cyril of Arizona;and three sisters;Mrs.John (Ann) Gadus of Pricedale;Mrs.Mary Walkush of Willowick;Ohio;and Mrs.John (Virginia) Horvath of Belle Vernon.
