Fred Hixenbaugh;a resident of the Charleroi Hotel;died unexpectedly Monday;September 4;1972;at 12:30 p.m.in the Uniontown Hospital. Born Oct.10;1915;in Morgantown;W.Va.;he was a resident of the Monessen area most of his life. Mr.Hixenbaugh was on disability retirement from the shipping department of the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Freederick E.Hauser;44;of 112 Second St.;Belle Vernon;was killed Saturday morning;Aug.26;1972;when a 10-ton road roller which he had been operating rolled over him. Hauser;an employee of Metz Construction Company;Bentleyville;was working on Riggs Road in the Piney Fork Village Plan of South Park Twp.when he slipped off the back of the machine. The accident happened at 9:30 a.m. Hauser was born in Germany Sept.18;1927. He was a veteran of World War II;having served with the U.S.Navy. He was a member of the G.B.U.Club of Monessen. Surviving are his widow;Dolores Matrozzo Hauser;step-children;Robert;Ronald;Karen and Linda Drudal at home;stepfather;Joseph Kroeschel of Monessen;brothers;Gus of Van Weert;Ohio;two sisters;Mrs.Anna Celaschi of Elizabeth and Mrs.Hilda Laatu of Monessen. Mrs.Nellie B.Harper of Allenport died at 6:30 p.m.Thursday;Aug.3;1972;at Haven Crest Nursing Home;Carroll Township. Mrs.Harper was born in Allenport June 25;1876;the daughter of the late Theopolis and Alvira Nicholas Jones. Mrs.Harper was a member of the United Methodist Church of Allenport. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Her husband;Clinton;died in 1965. Harry E.Harvey;77;of Oakland;Calif.;a former Belle Vernon resident;died Tuesday;July 4;1972 in an Oakland area hospital. Mr.Harvey was the son of the late D.F.(Frank) and Mell Ammon Harvey. He had lived in the Belle Vernon area most of his life and had worked for the Belle Vernon and Charleroi water companies. He had lived in the state of California for about 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife;Margaret;in January;1971. Surviving are two sisters;Mrs.Leo T.(Gladys) Hendrick of Saginaw;Mich.;and Mrs.J.E.(Margaret) Armentrout of Belle Vernon R.D.2;and one niece. Buford R.Hoffman;73;of 1428 Harrison Ave.;Monessen;died Sunday;May 21;1972;at 5:20 p.m. in Allegheny General Hospital;Pittsburgh. He had been in declining health. Born In Huntington County;Pa.;he was a Monessen resident since 1920. He had been employed as an engineer for the Monessen Southwestern Railroad at the Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel until his retirement in 1963. He was preceded in death by a daughter;Mrs.Evelyn Michalski;in October of 1962. Surviving are his widow;Beulah Brown Hoffman;two daughters;Mrs.Donald (Marion) Isaho of Monessen and Mrs.Russell (Gloria) Mace of Tampa;Fla.;three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
