James Walter Horrell of Fayette City R.D.1;died suddenly at 12:08 a.m. Monday;Aug.1;1977 in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was 45. Mr.Horrell was born in Belle Vernon on June 5;1932;son of the late James W.and Charlotte Forsythe Horrell. He had resided in Fayette City the past 14 years;having formerly been a resident of Belle Vernon. He was a former employee of Equibank;having worked at the Belle Vernon;California;Monongahela and Pittsburgh branches. He was employed by the Funding Systems Leasing Corp.of Pittsburgh the past three years and was recently named vice president of administration with the firm. Mr.Horrell served with the U.S.Navy during the Korean Conflict and belonged to the Lynnwood Lutheran Church;F&AM Lodge 643 of Belle Vernon;Scottich Rite of Uniontown and Consistory of Pittsburgh. He is survived by his widow;Lorelei Kolessar Horrell;three sons;James W.II;Joseph W.and Victor G.;and a daughter;Rebecca C.;all at home;two brothers;William R.Horrell and Roy I.Horrell;both of Belle Vernon;and one sister;Mrs.Arthur (Eleanor) Pienkoski of Painted Post;N.Y. Robert R.Hawker;85;of Perryopolis;R.D.1;died Saturday;June 25;1977;at 1:30 p.m. at his home. He was born in Dunbar on April 19;1892;son of the late James P.and Emma C.Hanan Hawker. He was a member of Little Redstone United Presbyterian Church at Fayette City R.D.1 and the United Mineworkers Local 6548. Mr.Hawker was a retired stationary engineer of the United States Steel Corp. Surviving are his widow;Lelah Lynch Hawker;two sons;James P.and William R.Hawker;both of Perryopolis R.D.1;one daughter;Mrs.Alex (Helen) Sethman of Carmichaels;seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr.Hawker was the last of nine children;having been preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers. Mr.Hunter;a retired U.S.Postal Department clerk;where he had worked in the state of California;was born in North Charleroi on Jan.2;1908. He was a veteran of the U.S.Army serving during World War II;a member of the Union Baptist Church of Monessen;the American Legion Post 695 of Monessen;the Okay Lodge 697 and the IBPOE Elks Lodge in Monessen. He is survived by two aunts;Mrs.Nettie McClain of North Carolina and Mrs.Floyd Simmons of Belle Vernon;and two uncles;Floyd Simmons of Belle Vernon and Lonnie Graham of Cleveland;Ohio. Joseph Leroy Heath of 457 Clarendon Ave.;Monessen;a member of the Monessen Police Department;died at 1:10 p.m.Tuesday;March 22;1977;in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital;Inc. Mr.Heath;48;had been in the hospital since he was stricken while on duty last Tueaday (March 8). He became ill shortly after reporting for work as he was walking near Monessen Public Library. He was taken to the hospital by Monessen Ambulance Service and was placed in the intensive care unit. Mr.Heath was born June 14;1928 in East Liverpool;Ohio;a son of the late Sarah and Charles Heath. He was a 1946 graduate of Monessen High School. He was an outstanding athlete in high school;playing three years with the varsity football and basketball teams. He was noted as an outstanding defensive performer in basketball. Mr.Heath was also active as a coach for several years with the Monessen Midget Football League. He was a veteran of the U.S.Army;serving three years. Formerly employed by the Monessen Street Department;Mr.Heath had been a police officer for the last six years. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police of the Mon Valley;Joseph H.Ford American Legion Post 691 of Monessen and I.B.P.O.E.of W.of Monessen.
