Mrs.Sibbi Ellen Junk;aged 69;of 316 Chestnut street;Monessen;died this morning;Saturday April 28;1956;at 1:06 o’clock at her late home after a lingering illness. Born in Dawson;Mrs.Junk came to Monessen in 1936 from Charleroi. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monessen;and was a Gold Star Mother. Her son;Orlo Junk was killed in the Battle of the Bulge in 1945. Four other children also preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband;Harry Junk;three sons;Joseph of Monessen;John;of Fairless Hills and Harry Jr.;of Hyattsville;Md.;two daughters;Betty and Beverly Ann;both at home;seven grandchildren and a sister;Mrs.Lawrence Bittner;of Lorain;Ohio. Friends will be received at the late home;beginning Sunday;April 29;at 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday;May 1;at 2 p.m.from the late home;with Rev.Abner P.Richard;pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Monessen officiating.
