He attended Monessen public schools;graduating from Monessen High School in 1973;and was employed by Weiss Meat Packing Co.;Inc.;of Rostraver Twp. He was employed as an auditor by the State Department of Labor and Security. A U.S.Air Force veteran of World War II;Mr.Kovalchuk was a member of Monessen Elks Lodge 773.
