Matthew A.Lynn;86;died at the home of his daughter;Mrs.Harrison B.Maund in Dunlevy;Monday October 13;1958;at 11:16 a.m. Mr.Lynn;who was born May 13;1872;in Blythe;Durham County;England;had been a resident of Dunlevy for sixty-six years;and operated a general store there;known as the Lynn Brothers ;in partnership with his brother;Ralph Lynn. He was a charter member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Dunlevy;and for fifty-eight years;was a member of Charleroi Lodge 1030;I.O.O.F. Preceded in death in September 1952;by his wife;Mrs.Maria Lynn;he is survived by one son;Thomas E.Lynn;Elrama;four daughters;Mrs.Glenn D.(Elizabeth) Myers of Franklin;Mrs.Mylo M.(Mary) Spencer;also of Franklin;Mrs.Norman G.(Agnes) Ross;Wheeling;West Virginia;and Mrs.Harrison B.(Alice) Maund of Dunlevy;nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Joseph S.Lynch;49;of 412 Ridge Ave.;Monessen;died suddenly at 3 o’clock Thursday morning;Oct.9;1958;at his home. Born in Donora;a son of Mrs.Susan Foster Lynch of Belle Vernon and the late Samuel J.Lynch;he attended Donora schools;and was graduated from Monessen High School with the class of 1926. He had been employed in the Internal Revenue Department for some years before accepting a position with the First National Bank in Monessen. Three years ago he joined the staff of the Pittsburgh Steel Federal Credit Union where he was assistant treasurer. He was a member of the St.Sebastian R.C.Church and Knights of Columbus Council 3026;Belle Vernon;and a member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge 773;Monessen. Surviving are his wife;Mrs.Rose Caputo Lynch;a metallurgical student at Penn State University;his mother;Mrs.Susan Foster Lynch;five brothers;Matthew of Belle Vernon R.D.; Robert of Largo;Fla.;William of Perryopolis;Charles of Charleroi and Vincent of Levittown;two sisters;Mrs.Mary Beatty and Mrs.Harold (Susanne) Ringstad;both of Belle Vernon. Arsene Lami;aged 26 years;son of Mr.and Mrs.Charles Lami;of 207 Shady Avenue;died Thursday afternoon;December 15;1932 in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital at 4 o’clock. His death was sudden and came as a shock to a host of friends in the vicinity. Complications following an operation which he underwent a week ago was attributed as the cause of his death. The young man was quite well known in the community. He attended the local schools and was graduated in the class of 1925 from the Charleroi High School. Surviving are his parents and one brother;Jules Lami of Monessen. Funeral services will be held at his late home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with interment to follow in Charleroi cemetery. (Moved to Belle Vernon Cemetery on Sept.18;1958).
