He was born in Austria-Hungary;
June 7; 1890; and came to
Charleroi from his birthplace in
1903. Eight months ago he moved
to Monessen.
He was a retired tester of the
Allenport plant of Pittsburgh
Steel company; and was a member
of the Holy Ghost Greek Catholic
Church; (Byzantine Rite); and
a member of Local Union 1187;
Allenport.
He is survived by his wife;
Susan Erdely Lovas; three daughters;Mrs.Walter (Bertha) Beck of Charleroi;Mrs.George (Lillian) Prescott of Rialto;California;formerly of Fairhope;and Mrs.Raymond (Sarah) Stein of Monessen;one brother;Steve Lovas of Belle Vernon;eight grandsons and three granddaughters. Friends will be received at the Michael A.Melinchak Funeral Home during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Brief prayer there Thursday;January 14;at 9 a.m.;will be followed at 9:30 a.m.by Requiem High Mass at the Holy Ghost Greek Catholic Church. (Byzantine Rite). Rev.George M.Kuzma will be in charge and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Evening Prayer service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock. Michael A.Melinchak is the funeral director.

Private services were held this morning in St.Eusebius Church;Fayette City;in charge of Rev.McQueeny;and interment took place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs.Marie Lami;78;of 207 Shady Ave.;Charleroi;died Sunday;July 26;1959 at 8 a.m. She was born in Belgium on Oct.19;1880;and came to Charleroi in 1904. She was a member of the Goodwill Club;and the Ladies Auxiliary to the French Club. She is survived by a son;Jules Lami;of Charleroi;two grandchildren;Clifford Lami;and Mrs. Lois Vanderveen;of Charleroi;and three great-grandchildren. Andrew Lorincz;86;of 213 Leighty St.;Belle Vernon;died at his home on Saturday;April 18;1959;at 2:30 p.m. Born in Hungary;Sept.17;1872;he was a member of the Hungarian Presbyterian Church;Pricedale;and a member of the Hungarian Club;Pricedale and of the William Penn Association;Pittsburgh. He was retired from work at the Victoria Coal Mine in 1939. Mr.Lorincz had resided in Belle Vernon for the past 47 years. Survivors include his wife;Rose;a son;Alex Turda;Belle Vernon;a daughter;Mrs.William (Anna) Henry;Charleroi R.D.and 13 grandchildren.
