A coal miner by trade;he last worked at Pittsburgh Coal Co.mine in Pricedale. He retired in 1947. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He belonged to St.Edward’s Roman Catholic Church in Fayette City;and was fraternally affiliated with the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America;of Bentleyville. Survivors include three sons;Adam and John;both of Fairhope;and Michael;of New York City;a daughter;Mrs.William (Martha) Raymond;of Pittsburgh;and three grandchildren.
