Robert Regis Nevins;63;a former Charleoi resident;died Friday;May 30;1975;at 12:01 a.m.in McKeesport Hospital. Mr.Nevins had resided in Charleroi the past 25 years and had just moved to 320 28th St.;McKeesport;a few months ago. He was born in Belle Vernon on Feb.4;1912;son of the late Robert C.and Elizabeth L.Nevins; His mother died Dec.23;1974. Mr.Nevins was a machinist for the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad. He was a veteran of World War II;having served in the U.S.Army;and belonged to St.Peter’s Catholic Church;McKeesport;Veterans of Foreigh Wars Post 167 and American Legion Post 22;both of Charleroi. Surviving are a brother;William Nevins of Charleroi;two sisters;Mrs.William (Ellen) Newlon and Margaret Nevins;both of McKeesport;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Harold L.Schrock Funeral Home;Charleroi;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Saturday and Sunday. Harry T.Niceling;77;of 209 Liberty Ave.;North Charleroi;died Wednesday;Jan.8;1974;at his residence following a lingering illness. State Police said he was found dead at his residence at 1 p.m.;and the death is under investigation by State Police;North Charleroi Police and the Washington County coroner’s office to determine the cause. Mr.Niceling was born in Uniontown on Jan.16;1898;son of the late Albert and Lizzie Pepper Niceling;and had resided in North Charleroi the past 30 years. He was retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.where he had worked as an oiler. He was preceded in death by his wife;Elizabeth Rumble Niceling;in 1965. Surviving are one daughter;Mrs.Mildred McKennery of Florida;three sisters;Mrs.A.J.(Nell) Licking of Massillon;Ohio;Mrs.Helen Pinfold of Charleroi and Mrs.Andrew (Martha) Spridik of North Charleroi;five grandchildren;and 14 great-grandchildren. He was 70 and his residence was on Ridge Road;Belle Vernon;R.D.3. Mr.Nichols was born in Sturgeon on Nov.7;1902;a son of the late Joseph and Sarah Bowater Nichols. He retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.after 44 years of service. Preceding him in death was his wife;Virginia Jean Tomasi Nichols;on March 11;1965.
