Dr. Fernand N. Parent; 61;former
Chief of Staff at Charieroi-
Monessen Hospital; died suddenly
Monday afternoon;Dec.4;1961; in his borne
at 122 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi.
His death was attributed to a
coronary occlusion.
Dr. Parent had suffered an initial
attack almost two years ago;
but had resumed his practice.
He was born in Mauvebeuge;France;Dec. 25; 1899; the son of Constant
and Adele Lambillotte Parent.
He came here as a small
child; and spent his entire life in
Charleroi.
He was a senior member in the Dept. of Surgery at the hospital.
He was also a member of the
Washington County Medical Society;the American Medical Association.
A veteran of World War I; he was a member of the American Legion Post 22;of Charleroi. Hisother affilitations were the Nemacolin Country Club;F & AM Lodge 615;Charleroi;Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite;Syria Temple of Pittsburgh;and B.P.O.E. Lodge;494;Charleroi. He is survived by his widow;Mrs.Mabel Mauk Parent;one son;Dr.F.N.Parent;Jr.;Pittsburgh;one daughter;Mrs.E.P.(Dawna) Hayes;Syracuse;N.Y.;one sister;Mrs.Walter Tarr;Lynnwood and four grandchildren. By his personal request;there will not be any public viewing. In lieu of flowers;a contribution may be made to the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital in his memory. Services will be private and interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Rene Parent; 64; of Charleroi;
died in the Washington Hospital;
Washington; Pa.; Monday;June 5;1961.at 3:10
a.m.; following a lingering illness.
Mr. Parent was born in Belgium;
May 6; 1897; the son of Constant
and Adele Lambiotte Parent.
Years ago; he operated a meat
market in Charleroi. He was a
veteran of World War I; and
served with the United States
Army Medical Corps in France.
He is survived by two sons;
Clifford and Robert Parent; both
of Fort Smith. Ark.; one brother.
Dr. F. N. Parent; Charleroi; and
a sister; Mrs. Walter E. Tarr;
Belle Vernon.
Private services were held at
the Schrock Funeral Home;
Charleroi.
