He was a member of the Ancient Order of the Deep;U.S.Navy;American Legion Post 92 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5280;both of Lonaconing;Md.;and Disabled American Veterans;Washington Chapter 125. He was born at Lonaconing;Md.;on Jan.24;1901. Surviving are his widow;Vivian Price Stafford;his stepfather;Hayward Duckworth of Lonaconing. Friends are being received at the Ruth Eckert Funeral Home;Roscoe;from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Service there Sunday;Oct.at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.David Griffith;pastor of Allenport Methodist Church;officiating. Surviving is his widow; Gertrude; a daughter-in-law; Mrs.
Theresa Sherield of New York;
three grandsons.
His son; Albert; died on Nov.
27; 1950.
