years.
Mr. Stringhill was a painting
contractor.
He was a member of St.
Sebastian Catholic Church;
Belle Vernon; where he served
as an usher. He also belonged
to the Belle Vernon American
Legion Post 659.He had served as a sergeant
with the 841st Engineers
during World War I I .

She had graduated from Belle Vernon High School and California State Teachers College. A resident of Baltimore since 1940;she had also been a teacher in the Baltimore Area School District;retiring in 1972. Born in Everson on Feb.17;1912;he was a son of the late James Carson and Elizabeth Serena Smith. Mr.Smith lived in Charleroi the past 35 years and was formerly employed as a clerk in the storeroom at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a former member of the United Brethern Church of Everson. A veteran of World War II;he served in the European Theater of Operations with the U.S.Army.
