Thomas A.Underwood;81;of 218 Robert St.;Belle Vernon;died suddenly Tuesday;December 31;1968;at 5:22 p.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Born in Roscoe;he had lived in Monessen 45 years. Mr.Underwood was a resident of his present address the past seven years. He retired in 1950 from the Monessen Page Division of American Chain and Cable Co. At one time Mr.Underwood was a semi-professional football player and was known as Heavy Underwood. He was a life member of Free and Accepted Masons No.638;Monessen;and was a life member of Monessen Volunteer Fire Co. He attended Trinity Episcopal Church;Monessen.
