The funeral of Mrs.F.H.Cook;who died of pneumonia at her home;35 McKee avenue;Saturday morning;Nov.2;1918;at 2:30;was held Monday afternoon;Nov.4;1918;there being a short service at the house for members of the family and another at the Belle Vernon Cemetery;at which were also many friends of the family. There were several beautiful floral tributes. Rev.Carson;pastor of the First Baptist Church;of which deceased was an active and earnest member;ably officiated at both services. Mrs.Cook;nee Delia Elsie Leonard;was born in Franklin Township;Michigan in 1882;was united in marriage to Frank H.Cook Nov.8;1900. To this union was born four children now at home;Saelia;aged sixteen years;Melvin;aged fourteen;Doris;aged nine;Leonard;aged seven. Besides there survives her father and mother;Mr.and Mrs.J.F.Leonard of Belle Vernon;three brothers;Hiram;of Belle Vernon;Edward and Ernest of Monessen;also three sisters;Mrs.Lynn Cook of Lunsing;Mich.;whose husband is also a brother of the bereaved husband;Mrs.John Zollars of Monessen;and Mrs.Wm.White of Chester;W.Va. The community as well as the family feels keenly her loss;for although in poor health;she possessed cheerfulness and determination which always made her presence a pleasure and many times she was doing for others when she should have been conserving her own strength.
