One of Belle Vernon’s prominent businessmen died suddenly last night;when a heart attack proved fatal to James Walter Duwall;49;head of the Duwall Lumber Company. His death was a shock to the community as he had not been ill. He was on the way to North Belle Vernon last night when he was stricken and was carried into the Coughanour residence where he succumbed at 10:15 o’clock. Before his entrance into a business in Belle Vernon;he had been tax collector and township supervisor of Rostraver township and had lived his entire lifetime at his home on the Pricedale-Webster road. He had been in the lumber and contracting business about eight years. He was affiliated with the Masonic organization in Monessen. Surviving are his wife;Sarah;and four children;Mary;Jean;James W.;Jr.;and Phyllis. Funeral services will be held from the late home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock;in charge of Rev.Howard Curtis;of the Presbyterian Church;in Belle Vernon. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

John Henry Desellems;aged 68 years;a resident of Lock No.4;died Saturday;June 4;1932;at 2:30 o’clock p.m.;after a short illness. Funeral services will be held at the late home at 2 o’clock;Tuesday afternoon;June 7;1932;with interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Mr.Desellems was born in Uniontown and is survived by his wife;Mrs.Ada Desellems;one sister;Mrs. R.H.Cornish;eight sons and six daughters. Twenty-three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
