Frederick Samuel Emelo;age three months;nine days;infant son of Mr.and Mrs.Thomas Emelo of 625 Fallowfield avenue;Charleroi;died Wednesday;November 13;1946;at 11:55 a.m.in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital. He was born in North Charleroi on August 4;1946. He is survived by his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Thomas Emelo;his maternal grandparents;Mr.and Mrs.Samuel Greenlee of Fayette City;R.D.;his paternal grandparents;Mr.and Mrs.Fred Emelo of Vestaburg and his great-grandparents;Mr.and Mrs.G.T.Federer of Fayette City R.D. His skull fractured and neck broken;Charles Evans;26;of Stockdale;died Saturday morning;August 31;1946;at 6 o’clock;three hours after his pickup truck struck a pole in Roscoe. Mr.Evans succumbed in Brownsville General hospital and the body was removed to the Toner Funeral home;Belle Vernon. Two companions received head injuries. They were George Lapinsky;20;lacerations of the forehead and scalp. John Kendall;22;suffered cuts and abrasions of the chin and scalp. Both live in Stockdale. According to State Police of Belle Vernon barracks;Mr.Evans was driving the 1937 truck homeward. The machine ran into a steep ditch at the side of the road;then crashed into a utility pole. Mr.Evans was taken from the wreckage in an unconscious condition and rushed to the Brownsville hospital. The others received medical attention in Roscoe. The victim was admitted to the hospital at 3 a.m.and expired about 6 o’clock. The men had been visiting in Elco it was said by troopers. Mr.Evans is survived by his wife Kathryn;four children;his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Joseph Evans;of Crest Ave.;Charleroi;a brother; William Patrick Evans of North Charleroi and three sisters;Mrs.Opal Wargo of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Frances Yakich;and Mrs.Loretta June Lambert of Charleroi. Friends will be received at the home of his parents;Mr. and Mrs.Joseph Evans of 931 Crest avenue;Charleroi. Services will the held there Tuesday;September 3;1946;at 2:30 p.m.;in charge of Rev.Elizabeth Kunselman;pastor of the Allenport Methodist Church. Military rites wll also be conducted by Charleroi American Legion Post No.22 and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
