She was a student of North Belle Vernon high school;and was a member of the St.Sebastian Church;Belle Vernon. She is survived by her parents;Mr.and Mrs.Peter Flora;and one sister;Philomena;at home. Friends will be received at the late home.Services will be held there Saturday;September 8;1945;at 10 a.m.;and will be followed by additional services in the St.Sebastian Church. IRA DAVID FRYE
Ira D.Frye;Monessen;aged 68 years;24 Linden avenue;Monessen;died in the McKeesport hospital at 8:50 p.m.;Wednesday evening;August 29;after a brief illness. Mr.Frye was a pioneer resident of Monessen;coming here in 1897 from Belmont;Pa.;where he was born. He was associated with the Shuster Bros.and the Greer Bros.in the early days of this city. He later worked in the local mills and for the past 28 years was an employee of the Pittsburgh Steel company. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church in Monessen;and the Royal Areanum Society of Charleroi. His wife preceded hime in death on Nov.14;1943. Surviving are four children; Veryl and Donovan of LaPorte;Mrs.Dorothy Glasser and Audley of Monessen;a brother;Henry Frye of Export;and a sister Mrs.Sarah Frye of Elyria;O. Nine grandchildren also survive. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs.Arthur Sphar;235 Fallowfield avenue;Charleroi.

Mrs.Elise Franks;age 82 years;of Charleroi;died in Washington hospital;May 29;1945. She was born in Belgium in 1863. She came to Charleroi about 48 years ago from Irwin;Pa.;and was a member of the Woman’s Benefit Association of Belle Vernon. She is survived by two sons;Joseph Franks of Duquesne and Frank Franks of Charleroi;and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Lawrence B.Frye Funeral Home. Services will be held there Thursday May 31;1945;at 2 p.m. Dr.Frank S.Montgomery will have charge of services and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 43 years; she attended the Mother of Sorrows Church in Charleroi. She is survived by two sons;Robert;of Fredericktown and Fritz Riley;of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Mrs.Felix Lazzari and Mrs.Peter Magrini;both of Belle Vernon. Seventeen grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive.
