Harrison A.Irwin;51;of 519 Broad Avenue;Belle Vernon;died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital;Sunday;June 22;1952;at 7:55 p.m. Mr.Irwin;who was proprietor of the Irwin Flower Shop in Belle Vernon;was a member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department;and was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. His death was due to injuries sustained in a fall downstairs at his home on June 3. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Leona Mae irwin;two sons;Glenn Edgar of Lancaster;Pa.;and Harry A.Irwin at home;one daughter;Mrs.Lida Ann Hackenson of Belle Vernon;his mother;Mrs.Harry A.Irwin of Asheville;North Carolina;and one sister;Mrs. Harry Harris of Daytona Beach;Florida. Friends will be received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home;Broad Avenue;Belle Vernon. Services will be held there Wednesday;June 25;1952 at 2 p.m.;with the Rev.George L.Kress of the Belle Vernon Presbyterian Church in charge. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. There was another Gold Star home in Monessen today;Feb.9;1944;as the War Department advised Mr.and Mrs.Alex Irvine;of the Independent Building;Sixth street;that their son;Flight Officer Thomas A.Levine;21;was killed in action on his sixth bombing mission over Europe last Dec.31;1943. The message was recieved Saturday;Feb.5;1944. Flight Officer Irvine;who would have been 22 on May 11;was first reported missing in action on Jan.12. Word of his death came from the German government via the International Red Cross;indicating that his plane;a Flying Fortress;was shot down in enemy territory. Joining the Air Force in April;1942;Flight Officer Irvine received pre-flight training at Santa Ana;Cal.;primary flight training at Cal-Airo and was graduated as a pilot at Stockton;Cal.;Aug.31;1943. He arrived in England on Nov.8;1943. Besides his parents;the flier is survived by a sister;Mary.

Dorothy I.Isenberg;aged 26 years;daughter of Mr.and Mrs.J.H.Isenberg;died at 3:45 this morning;Tuesday May 19;1936;at her home;459 Reed avenue;after a lingering illness. The young lady was born and reared in Monessen and attended the Monessen public schools. Surviving are her parents;three sisters;Ruth;Mildred and Helen;all of Monessen;and four brothers;Vincent;of Fredericktown;Howard;Wayne and Robert;all of Monessen. Funeral services are announced for Friday afternoon;May 22;at 2 o’clock from the home;with Rev.M.S.Spear;pastor of the Christian church;officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon cemetery.
