Funeral services for Paul Holmes Junk;who died Thursday;June 29;1939;at Cresson sanitarium;will be held from the late home;449 Donner avenue;Saturday;July 1;1939;at 1 o’clock. Rev.J.R.McFarland;pastor of the First Presbyterian Church;will officiate. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Surviving are his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Harry C.Junk;five brothers;Joseph;Orlo;John;Richard and Harry;Jr.;and two sisters;Betty and Beverly Ann;all of Monessen. He was a member of the Baptist Church of Charleroi. The deceased was formerly of Charleroi and was well-known to a large following of local friends.

Mrs.Hester Belle Johnson passed away in her sixty-eighth year at her home on Wood street;Belle Vernon;Tuesday afternoon;June 1;at 12:30. Mrs.Johnson has been ill for a number of years;and is survived by five sons;Eugene;Fred;Henry;Howard and Walter;one sister;Mary Brown;also of Wood street;and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o’clock at the A.M.E.church in Belle Vernon.

Mrs.Rose Jones;aged 60 years;formerly Rose Webb;a pioneer Monessen resident;who removed to Warren;Ohio;about ten years ago;died Wednesday June 3;1936;at the Warren hospital after a short illness of pneumonia. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the home of Mr.and Mrs.Stuart Wells;Graham street. Interment will follow at the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rev.Lester Worthy;pastor of the Episcopal Church in Monongahela;will conduct the funeral services. The deceased is survived by three brothers;Charles Webb;of Fayette City;and Samuel and Richard Webb;of Monessen;and also nine children;Emma;John Raymond;Charles;Lee;Earl;William;Grace and Laura. Twelve grandchildren also survive.
