Surviving are his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Andrew Koffler of Castle Shannon;his wife of four months;Irene M.Jones Koffler;a brother;Joseph of near Butler;four sisters;Anne Marie;Norma;Edna and Doris of Castle Shannon. Friends will be received at the home of his parents-in-law;Mr.and Mrs.M.Q.Jones;616 Division street;until Wednesday evening 7 p.m.when the body will be taken to the home of his grandmother;Mrs.Minnie Koffler;Corner Road;Bethel Township. Friends will be received there until Friday at which time services will be held at St.Anne’s Church n Castle Shannon;the Rev.Angel officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Mrs.Harriet B.Kirk;wife of W.P.Kirk;local druggist;died Monday;June 9;1947;at 9:05 a.m.;at the family home;218 Fourth street;following a lingering illness;during which she was hospitalized several times. Mrs.Kirk was a member of the Methodist Church;where she was active in the various departments during her younger days. She was a member of the Monessen Woman’s club and a past matron of Monessen Chapter 203 Order of the Eastern Star. The family has resided here since 1902. Surviving are her husband;a daughter;Mrs.George B.Saylor of Monessen;a son;James A.Kirk of Monessen and Hollywood;Florida;three grandchildren;Kirk Saylor;Billy and Judy Kirk;two sisters;Mrs.W.H.Bell of PIttsburgh;and Mrs.H.G.Schwartz of Lockport;N.Y.;and a brother;Clyde Hesser of Pittsburgh. Friends are being received at the Harper Memorial Chapel;where funeral services will be held Thursday;June 12;1947;at 2 p.m.with Rev.Edward L.Boetticher;a former pastor of the local Methodist Church;officiating.
