Capt.E.E.Lenhart;86-year-old master of the steamboat Margaret;died Saturday;April 29;1944;at his home;212 Market St.;Belle Vernon;after a three weeks illness. He was the oldest pilot on the three rivers when he retired four years ago upon completion of his sixtieth year in service. The Margaret;owned by the McCrady-Rodgers Co.of Pittsburgh;had been in his continuous command for two decades. Capt.Lenhart is survived by five daughters and two sons;Mrs.Thomas Hewitt of Lincoln Place;Mrs.Earl Hewitt;Pittsburgh;Mrs.Edward Morgan;Belle Vernon;Mrs.Ruth Allen;Monessen;Mrs.Charles Frye;Monongahela;Edward of Monongahela and Walter of Belle Vernon R.D. One sister;Mrs.S.S.Jones of Belle Vernon;21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren survive. Friends are being received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home in Belle Vernon. Rites will take place Tuesday afternoon;May 2;1944.

John August Larguier;aged 49 years;of 208 West Oliver Avenue;Duquesne;formerly of Belle Vernon;died Monday;February 28;1944;at 1:57 p.m.at his home. He was a veteran of World War One;serving in the U.S.Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Belle Vernon. Surviving are his mother;Mrs.Melina Larguier of Belle Vernon;his wife;Gertrude Fairington Larguier;of Duquesne;two sisters;Mrs.Samuel Daugherty of Belle Vernon R.D.and Mrs.Louis Camino of Belle Vernon and one brother;Henry;of the U.S.Navy in the Southwest Pacific. Edward Joseph Lahey;a resident of Monessen for the past 36 years;died Monday night;December 6;1943;at his home;20 Knox avenue;following a lingering illness. Formerly in the employ of the Pittsburgh Steel Company;he has been retired for some time.
