Death at 12:55 Tuesday morning;June 19;1923;removed Mary A.Matthews;aged 74;one of the pioneer residents of the Monongahela valley.  The deceased had left her home at No.3 Schoonmaker avenue a short time ago to visit with her cousin;Charles W.Matthews;at 336 Brownsville road;Knoxville;and while there she suffered a stroke which resulted in her death.  The body was brought to this city and funeral services will be held from the late home on Schoonmaker avenue Thursday afternoon June 21;1923;at two o’clock with interment in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The deceased made her home practically all her life in Rostraver township and the only surviving relatives are three cousins;C.W.and James Matthews and Sarah Kinsley;all of Knoxville.
