He was a former member of Company K.28th Infantry;82nd Division;and was the holder of the Military Order of the Silver Star for gallantry in action during World War One. He was a member of St.Sebastian Church and the American Legion Post 659. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Ann Mascara;three daughters;Helen Ann;Margaret Arlene and Mary Ann;five sons;Augustine of Boston;Mass.;Thomas of Pittsburgh;Eugene of Iowa;John of Belle Vernon and Frank of Monessen. Friends will be received at theToner Funeral Home. Requiem Mass will be held in St.Sebastian Church;Saturday;January 8;1949;at 9 a.m.;in charge of Rev.Eugene Harkins.
