home; Tuesday; January 4;1949; at 2 p.m.;after a lingering illness. He was born May 24;1894. He was a former member of Company K.28th Infantry;82nd Division;and was the holder of the Military Order of the Silver Star for gallantry in action during World War One. He was a member of St.Sebastian Church and the American Legion Post 659. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Ann Mascara;three daughters;Helen Ann;Margaret Arlene and Mary Ann;five sons;Augustine of Boston;Mass.;Thomas of Pittsburgh;Eugene of Iowa;John of Belle Vernon and Frank of Monessen. Friends will be received at theToner Funeral Home. Requiem Mass will be held in St.Sebastian Church;Saturday;January 8;1949;at 9 a.m.;in charge of Rev.Eugene Harkins. Basil P.Marasco of Hill Street;Belle Vernon;died in the United States Veterans Hospital;Aspinwall;December 11;1948;at 8:50 a.m. He was born in 1924. He served in the U.S.Army during World War II. He is survived by his mother;Mrs.Josephine Marasco;one brother;Angelo;at home;and one sister;Mrs.Thomas Barger of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home. Philip Marasco;aged 56 years;of 615 Hill St.;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;Sept.12;1948 at 7 a.m. of a heart attack. He was an employee of the Pittsburgh Steel plant at Allenport. Surviving are his wife;Mrs. Josephine Marasco;two sons;Basil and Angelo;at home;and one daughter;Mrs.Mary Louise Narger;of Belle Vernon;two brothers;Felix;of McKeesport;and Joseph in Italy;and one sister in Italy;also his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Basil Marasco in Italy. Friends will be received at his late residence until Wednesday;Sept.12;at 11 a.m. when funeral services will be held in charge of Father Eugene Harman;pastor of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church.Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
