Believed to have collapsed and died from a heart attack sometime Saturday night;the body of Charles R.Myers;79-year-old Belle Vernon man was found yesterday morning Monday;Nov.21;1949;at 11 o’clock in the one room he occupied in his large home on Main street. Mr.Myers;always an early riser;was in the habit of stopping in a hardware store adjacent to his home every morning;and when he failed to put in his appearance Monday morning;Kenneth Beazell accompanied by James Hassen;Jr.;went to his room and found him dead. McCrory said that a kitchen table was found overturned on the body;but that;in his opinion;the aged man had caught at the table when he collapsed. Mr.Myers;a retired restaurant owner;had lived alone since the death of his wife several years ago. He is survived by one son;Willian;of Erie;two brothers;Alvin of Pittsburgh and Levi of Hancock;Md. One grandchild also survives. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home in Belle Vernon where services will be held at 4 p.m.Wednesday;Nov.23;1949;in charge of Rev.Cecil Campbell of the Methodist Church.
