Mrs.Stana Radish;aged 67 years;died Friday;December 24;1937;at 7:50 p.m.at the Allegheny General hospital;following an illness which extended over a period of four years. Surviving are the husband;Steve Radish;three daughters;Mrs.Nick Rodak of Fairhope;Mrs.Julia Suter of Monessen;and Sara;at home;three sons;Joseph;John and Richard;all of Fairhope. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon;December 27;1937;at 2:30 from the home;with interment following in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Nancy Belle Reeves
Miss Nancy Belle Reeves; 84; one of the oldest residents of Belle Vernon; died Friday; August 13; at 6:15 a. m. at the home of her sister; Mrs. Rebecca R. Riggs; 1004 Howard street; Monongahela. Miss Reeves went to her sisters home for a visit over Memorial Day and took sick and has been bedfast since then.

Miss Reeves was born in Belle Vernon; Fayette County; October 10; 1852. She was the eldest daughter of the late John Morgan and Melvina Button Reeves. She spent her entire life in her home town. She united with the Methodist Episcopal church Sept 3; 1876 and was the oldest member of the church. She attended the services faithfully until her age prevented her walking the hill to church. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society of which she was president for several years. A member of E. L. Sears Bible Class; acted as secretary until her health prevented her taking active part in her class; and the H. B. L. Club

Had Miss Reeves; lived until October she would have been 85 years of age. By a strange coincidence; her father John M. Reeves; who was born in Rostraver township; Westmoreland County; May 13th; 1823; a son of Samuel and Nancy Palmer Reeves was the last one of that family to pass away at the age of 84 years on August 13; 1907.

Mrs. Rebecca R. Riggs; the only member of the family who with her daughter Miss Nancy V. McIlvain; a niece of Miss Reeves survives. Friends will be received at the Charles L. Melenyzer Funeral Home; 114 Main street; Belle Vernon; after 7 p. m. Friday; with the funeral services to be held from the Funeral Home; Sunday; August 15th at 2:30 p. m. in charge of Rev. Meade Daugherty; pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church. Interment will be in Belle Vernon cemetery.

Charles Russo;a resident of Belle Vernon;died Sunday;May 2;1937;at the United States Veterans hospital in Hines;Illinois;where he had been a patient for the past three months. He was a veteran of the World War and saw service in many of the principal battles. His body was brought to his home;211 Vernon street;Wednesday morning. Surviving are his wife;Mrs.Mary Russo;five sons and five daughters. Military funeral services will be held Saturday morning;followed by services at 9 o’clock at the St.Sebastian Church with Father J.J.O’Connell officiating. Interment wll follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
