Mrs.Mary Razzando;aged 46 years;of Fairhope;died at the home of her daughter;Mrs.Ameliz Vannucci in Belle Vernon at 2:35 a.m. Thursday;January 15;1942;after a lingering illness. She is survived by her husband;Alfred Razzando;two daughters;Mrs.Josephine Turner;of Marian;Ill.;and Mrs.Vannucci;two sons;Alfred;Jr.;of Fairhope;and John;of Lynnwood;and five grandchildren. Friends are being received at the late home in Fairhope where funeral services will be held Sunday;January 18;at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Mrs.Clara Jane Rowley;aged 75 years;wife of Harry Rowley;died at the family home No.3 Graham Street;Belle Vernon at 6:45 p.m.;Wednesday;November 27;1940. She had been ill over a long period. Mrs. Rowley had resided in Belle Vernon ever since she and her husband set up housekeeping there forty-nine years ago. She was an active member of the First Christian church. Surviving besides her husband are two daughters;Gertrude at home and Mrs.Homer Whetzel of Ford City;one brother;William Worrell;of Hazelhurst;PA.;and one sister;Mrs.Catherine Martin;of Belle Vernon;two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Remains are at the home where services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock by the Rev.James Rainey;pastor of First Christian church. Interment will follow in Gibsonton cemetery. Chas.L.Melenyzer is the funeral director in charge. (She was moved to Belle Vernon Cemetery on 12/4/1941)

Junior Richard Radish;aged two years and five months;was drowned about 11:30 o’clock Wednesday morning;Sept.11;1940;when he fell from a diving board into six feet of water in the Monongahela River. Richard and another boy;Johnny Veach;5;were believed playing on the diving board which extends about 10 feet over the water;when Richard fell into the water. West Brownsville firemen found the body after 20 minutes of dragging. Artificial respiration was futile. The body was removed to the Timko funeral home;California;and later taken to the family residence in West Brownsville.The child’s father was working in the Chartiers mine when the tragedy occurred. The distraught mother is under the care of a physician. Surviving are the parents;Peter and Ethel Irene Radish;of West Brownsville;and one brother;Joseph Arnold Radish.
