JOHN SPADAFORE
Children on their way home from school at noon on Friday;September 28;1934;found the lifeless body of John Spadafore;aged 26;lying along a walk near the Valley Deposit & Trust Co.building at Belle Vernon. The man had evidently suffered a heart attack and died. Mrs.Spadafore worked as usual last night at the Allenport plant of the Pittsburgh Steel company and on returning home this morning complained of having trouble with his heart and stated that he was going down town to see a physician. He was seen about Belle Vernon for a time this morning but evidently did not visit the doctor. Deciding to return to his home at 708 Grant street;he took a short cut along the old street car tracks when he suffered the stroke and fell to the ground. His body remained unnoticed until school children discovered it at noon. Besides his wife;Mrs.Constance Spadafore;he is survived by his father;Pasquale;and one brother;Frank. The body was removed to the Melenyzer undertaking rooms and later will be removed to the home of Anthony Desimone;306 Main street;from which place funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon;September 30;1934;at three o’clock;with interment in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
