Mrs. Carrie S.Smith of Strattonville;Clarion County;formerly of Charleroi;died at the home of her daughter;Mrs.Edward Gnoth;401 Shady avenue;Charleroi;September 4;1952;at 4:15 p.m. Mrs.Smith was born in Clarion County;June 22;1892;the daughter of George H. and Emily Johnson Crispin. She was a member of the Methodist church of Strattonville;having lived there since 1942. Two days ago she came to make her home with her daughter here;and her death came unexpectedly. She is survived by her husband;John N.Smith;one son;Jack S.Smith of Carnegie;three daughters;Mrs.Edward (Emily) Gnoth of Charleroi;Mrs.Peter (Tharon) Ruby of Coraopolis;and Mrs. Donald (Gwendolyn) DeVault;Baden; her father;George H.Crispin of Strattonville;one sister;Mrs.Alva Johnston of Strattonville;and six grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Schrock Funeral Home. Services will be held there Saturday;September 6;1952;at 2 p.m.;in charge of Rev.Curtis J.Patterson.
