A former Monessen woman;Mrs.Sophie Dudzik Stoneking;of Akron;Ohio;died Sunday;Oct.15;1950; at 5 o’clock in the City Hospital at East Liverpool;Ohio;as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile and trailer-truck collision last Monday morning;Oct.9;1950;at 11 a.m. The accident;which involved a car in which Mrs.Stoneking;her husband;Herbert A.Stoneking;and their two children were riding;occurred just outside East Liverpool.  Her husband is still a patient in City hospital;but the children escaped uninjured.  Mrs.Stoneking graduated from Monessen High School in 1937.  She is survived by her husband;Herbert;her two daughters;Susan Carol;aged 2;and Kathy Ellen;aged 1;her father;Joseph Dudzik;of Monessen;two brothers;John of Monessen;and Louis of Ambridge.  Friends will be received at the Check Home for Funerals.  Services will be held there Thursday;October 19;1950;at 9:00 o’clock and additional services will be held in St.Leonard’s Church;Monessen.  Rev.O.J.Kirby will officiate;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Joseph R.Check is the funeral director.  

Mrs.Mary Shimko;well known resident of the Fayette City district; died at the home of her daughter Mrs.Margaret Pozum;Fayette City;R.D.;Sunday;Aug.6;1950. Mrs.Shimko was born in Czechoslavia Nov.1;1884. She was a member of St.Edwards Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons;Andrew of Fayette City;George of Allenport;one daughter;Mrs.Margaret Pozum of Fayette City R.D.and six grandchildren.Services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.at the McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;with additional rites at St.Edwards Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. in charge of Father C.W.Ribick;the celebrant. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. G.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;has charge of general arrangements.

Bogumil Studicki;55;of Fairhope;died suddenly in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital;Monday;June 26;1950;at 5:55 a.m. He was the owner of the Fairhope Bakery. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Nellie Studnicki;three sons;Thaddeus and Mathew Studnicki at home;one daughter;Mrs.Olga Belsick of North Charleroi;and one sister and a brother in Poland;and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home. Services will be held there Thursday;June 29;1950;at 4 p.m.;in charge of Rev.Anthony R.Wiewski of the Polish National Catholic Sacred Heart Church;Monessen. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
