A former Belle Vernon man;father of two children;was killed last Sunday morning;November 26;1950;at 5:30 a.m.when he was struck by two autos as he stepped off the curb near his Brooklyn;N.Y.home on his way to work. He is Albert M.Sherield;who until several years ago resided at the home of his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Solomon Sherield;at 515 Main street;Belle Vernon. According to reports;Mr.Sherield was on his way to work when he stepped off the curb and was struck by an suto. Immediately after he was struck by the first car;another car ran over him. He was a graduate of Belle Vernon High School and served two and one-half years as a staff sergeant in an anti-aircraft unit in the South Pacific. He is survived by his wife;Thresa;formerly of Donora;two sons;Dwayne;aged 3 and Timothy;aged 1;and his parents. Friends will be received Friday;Dec.1;1950;at the home of his parents and funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m.from the Speer Street A.M.E.Church in Belle Vernon. The Rev.C.F.Bryant will be in charge. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs.Elizabeth Sekora of Fayette City;died at her home;November 27;1950;at 3 a.m. She is survived by her husband;Paul Sekora;seven daughters;Mrs.Frances McFall of Greensburg;Mrs.Mary Chacko;Charleroi;Mrs.Cyril Frohman;Donora;Mrs.John Druziak;Fayette City;Mrs.Andrew Horvath;Homestead;Mrs.William Hrisko of Charleroi;and Miss Dolores Sekora at home;two sons;John of Charleroi;Andrew of Brownsville;one sister;Mrs.Anna Fedrovitch of Jessop;Pa. Friends will be received at the late home. Services will be held at St.Edward’s Church;Fayette City;Nov.30;1950;at 10 a.m.;in charge of Rev.Charles Ribick. A former Monessen woman;Mrs.Sophie Dudzik Stoneking;of Akron;Ohio;died Sunday;Oct.15;1950; at 5 o’clock in the City Hospital at East Liverpool;Ohio;as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile and trailer-truck collision last Monday morning;Oct.9;1950;at 11 a.m. The accident;which involved a car in which Mrs.Stoneking;her husband;Herbert A.Stoneking;and their two children were riding;occurred just outside East Liverpool.  Her husband is still a patient in City hospital;but the children escaped uninjured.  Mrs.Stoneking graduated from Monessen High School in 1937.  She is survived by her husband;Herbert;her two daughters;Susan Carol;aged 2;and Kathy Ellen;aged 1;her father;Joseph Dudzik;of Monessen;two brothers;John of Monessen;and Louis of Ambridge.  Friends will be received at the Check Home for Funerals.  Services will be held there Thursday;October 19;1950;at 9:00 o’clock and additional services will be held in St.Leonard’s Church;Monessen.  Rev.O.J.Kirby will officiate;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Joseph R.Check is the funeral director.  

Mrs.Mary Shimko;well known resident of the Fayette City district; died at the home of her daughter Mrs.Margaret Pozum;Fayette City;R.D.;Sunday;Aug.6;1950. Mrs.Shimko was born in Czechoslavia Nov.1;1884. She was a member of St.Edwards Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons;Andrew of Fayette City;George of Allenport;one daughter;Mrs.Margaret Pozum of Fayette City R.D.and six grandchildren.Services will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.at the McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;with additional rites at St.Edwards Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. in charge of Father C.W.Ribick;the celebrant. Bogumil Studicki;55;of Fairhope;died suddenly in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital;Monday;June 26;1950;at 5:55 a.m. He was the owner of the Fairhope Bakery. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Nellie Studnicki;three sons;Thaddeus and Mathew Studnicki at home;one daughter;Mrs.Olga Belsick of North Charleroi;and one sister and a brother in Poland;and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home.
