John C. West;aged 78 years;died Thursday;May 10;1928;at 12:30 o’clock at the home of his daughter;Mrs.L.B.Mattis;of Belle Vernon following a lingering illness. Mr.West;who made his home with his daughter;is very well known in this section. He is survived by three daughters;Mrs.L.B.Mattis;Mrs.P.J.Stitt of Belle Vernon;Mrs.R.V.Thompson of McKeesport;one son;V.Wayne West of Belle Vernon and one sister and brother;Mrs.Sadie Voorhees and George L.West;of Pittsburgh. Funeral services will be held at the Mattis home;Speer street and Apple avenue;Belle Vernon;Saturday afternoon;May 12;1928;at 2 o’clock with interment following in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

George William;the two month old son of Mr.and Mrs.George Cooper Wheatley;of Rostraver Township;died at the family home Monday morning;April 23;1928. Funeral services will be held from the home Wednesday afternoon;April 25;1928;to be followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
