Surviving are his wife; Mrs.Elizabeth Vance;four sons;William;Jr.;Robert and Fred;of Monessen and Private Thomas Vance;stationed at Fort Jackson;S.C.;two daughters;Mrs.Anna May Ammon and Mrs.Margaret Beeman. Four grandchildren;one great-grandchild;a sister;Elizabeth Walsh of Monessen and a brother;Carl Vance;of Logansport;Indiana;also survive. Friends are being received at the home where services will be held Tuesday;December 21;1943;at 2 p.m.;with Rev.Charles G.White;of the U.B.Church;officiating. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery. She is survived by her husband;

her mother; Mrs. Laura Hicks of Monessen;
three brothers; Claude of McKeesport;
Floyd R. and Gerald of
Monessen; and one sister; Mrs. Clyde
Lear also of Monessen. Also surviving
are two grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home until time for services on Friday;August 13;1942 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Chas.L.and Edwin Melenyzer are the funeral directors.
