William C.Vance;aged 68 years;died Friday;December 17;1943 at 10:30 p.m.at his home;1006 Knox avenue;following a brief illness. He was in the employ of the Pittsburgh Steel Co. Surviving are his wife; Mrs.Elizabeth Vance;four sons;William;Jr.;Robert and Fred;of Monessen and Private Thomas Vance;stationed at Fort Jackson;S.C.;two daughters;Mrs.Anna May Ammon and Mrs.Margaret Beeman. Four grandchildren;one great-grandchild;a sister;Elizabeth Walsh of Monessen and a brother;Carl Vance;of Logansport;Indiana;also survive. Friends are being received at the home where services will be held Tuesday;December 21;1943;at 2 p.m.;with Rev.Charles G.White;of the U.B.Church;officiating. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery. Monessen; and one sister; Mrs. Clyde
Lear also of Monessen. Also surviving
