Elizabeth Amelia Waite;aged 81 years;ten months;died at 6:10 a.m. June 14;1939 at her home;738 Speer Street;Belle Vernon;after an illness of six weeks. Surviving Mrs.Waite are three daughters and six sons. The daughters;Mrs.T.D.Harris and Mrs.W.H.Igoe;both of Belle Vernon;and Mrs. George Gooding of Canton;Ohio;the sons;William;Thomas;of Monessen;John and Dr.A.H.of Canosnsburg;Ethelbert of Gary;Indiana;Edward of Charleroi and Dr.R.J.Waite of Belle Vernon. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The deceased was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the late home until Friday afternoon when funeral services will be held at 2:30 o’clock in charge of Rev.Edwin G.Sloan;Rev.G.Meade Dougherty assisting. Interment will be made in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner;funeral director in charge.

Injuries received when he was struck by an automobile on Market Street;Belle Vernon;early Thursday afternoon;March 3;1938;proved fatal Thursday night at 6:30 o’clock to Clarence Burl Wilkinson;aged 10;son of Mr.and Mrs.Joseph Wilkinson;of 24 Mulberry Street;East Belle Vernon. Death was recorded in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital where he was taken immediately after the accident. The accident occurred as the boy was crossing Market Street in Bellle Vernon to attend school. A car said to have been driven by Robert Lange;17;a Senior in the Belle Vernon High School;allegedly struck the youth. The boy had just celebrated his birthday anniversary the day before the accident. Surviving are his parents;and one sister;Catherine;and one brother;Joseph. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon;March 6;1938;from his parent’s home at 2 o’clock;in charge of Rev.Rainey;with interment to follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
