George Wilding;a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 22 years;died Tuesday;May 27;1941;at 12:15 a.m.at his home in Lynnwood;following a short illness. He was aged 51 years. For the past 24 years he had been employed by the Pittsburgh Steel Company. Mr.Wilding was a member of the Marion Presbyterian Church;and for a period of five years was president of the Washngton Township Fire Co. He also was associated with the Fayette Co.Firemen and the Western Pennsylvania Association of Firemen. Surviving is his wife;Mrs.Malvina Wilding;three daughters;Mrs.George Rousseau;of Belle Vernon and Jean and Edna Mae at home;and a son;John Walter Wilding. Two grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Marion Presbyterian Church;with Rev.David Hunter;a former minister;officiating;assisted by Rev.James M.Rainey;pastor of the Christian Church of Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs. Dorothy Sonafelt Willey;
aged 28 years; wife of Kenneth Willey of Allenport; died Friday morning;March 28;1941;
at 5:40 o’clock at the Charleroi-Monessen hospital; after an illness
of four weeks. Death was due to
leucocythemia.
Mrs. Willey was born and reared
in Monessen and was graduated
from the Monessen High School.
She was for a short time employed
in the commercial department of
The Daily Independent.
Surviving are her husband and
three children. Her parents; Mr.
and Mrs. Andrew Sonafelt of Monessen; three brothers; Earl; Homer
and Jack; and two sisters; Alice and
Mrs. William Gathers of Fairhope;
also survive.
Friends will ‘be received at the
home of her mother-in-law; Mrs.
Georgia Willey in Allenport; until
Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock;
when services will be conducted by
Rev. R. F. Steininger; pastor of St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church of Monessen. Burial will be made in the Belle
Vernon Cemetery. Chas.L. Melenyzer is the funeral director.

She was born in Belle Vernon;December 8;1862;the daughter of the late Madison and Mary McClain. She was a member of the Belle Vernon Methodist Church. Surviving are four sons;Aquilla Fell of Belle Vernon;and John Fell of Canton;Ohio;by her first marriage and Lawrence and Harry Worrell;both of Belle Vernon;by her second marriage. One granddaughter;Kathlene Worrell;of Belle Vernon;also survives. Funeral services from her late home;Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock in charge of Rev.J.C.Brown;pastor of Belle Vernon Methodist Church.
