She was the widow of the late John C.Wheatley;former chief of police of Monessen. Surviving are two granddaughters;Miss Betty Deane and Miss Norma Jean Ashton of Elizabeth. Friends will be received at the Woodward Home for Funerals until Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock;when services will be conducted in charge of Rev.C.G.White. John Winn;aged 86 years;a resident of this immediate vicinity for the past 56 years;died Friday;January 8;1973;at 1:30 p.m.at his home in Fairhope;Fayette City;R.D.1.;following a lingering illness. He was a member of the Fayette City Roman Catholic Church and the Fayette City Lodge of Eagles. Surviving are two sons;John C.Winn and Guy B.Winn;both of Fairhope;two daughters;Mrs.Annie Lang;Belle Vernon and Mrs.Ellen Vance of Monessen;26 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the late home in Fairhope. Funeral services will be held Monday morning;January 11 at 10 o’clock from the St.Eusebius R.C.Church;with Father J.H.Wilhelm officiating. Ewing L.Woolsey;aged 67;died suddenly Thursday morning Dec.17;1942;at his home;1029 Schoonmaker avenue;of a heart attack. He was appointed to the Monessen police force in 1903 and for some time past;has been desk seargeant. His wife;Isabelle Laird Woolsey;is the only survivor. Friends are being received at the Woodward Home for Funerals;where services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev.S.Kenneth Johnson;pastor of the Presbyterian Church;will officiate.
