Born Aug.8;1917;in Pricedale;he was the son of the late Henry and Cora Mabel Gailey Guder. Mr.Guder was a resident of New stanton for the past 17 years;having previously resided in Youngwood and Belle Vernon. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;Allenport plant;where he worked as a steelworker. He was a veteran of World War II;having served in the U.S.Army;and was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He is survived by s sister and brother-in-law;Kathryn and James Newbigging of Pontiac;Mich.;two nieces;Joyce Fought of New Stanton and Patricia Ream of Belle Vernon;and three nephews. He was a steelworker for 45 years for Pittsburgh Steel and the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Allenport plant. Lena Venneri of Winter Springs;Fla.died Wednesday;March 21;2001. She was born in Smithton and taught elementary school in Belle Vernon for 40 years. She was a hospital volunteer and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;Pennsylvania;State Education Association;National Education Association;United Methodist Women;L-F13;and the Anita Garibaldi Society of Belle Vernon.
