Mr. Winship was a member of the
Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ;
Latter Day Saints Church; where he
served as an elder; and was employed
as toll-keeper at the Charleroi-Monessen bridge.
He is survived by his wife; Gertrude Wise Winship; four sons; Corporal Howard Winship; stationed in
Germany; Gerald in Lamoni; Iowa;
DeLloyd; Independence; Missouri;
and Myron at home; two daughters;
Mrs. T. A. Dempsey; in Colorado and
Miss Verna Winship at home; three
brothers; Charles; Fayette City; Clarence and Robert Winship in North Charleroi. Friends will be received at the late home. Services will be held there Tuesday;December 18;1951;at 2 p.m.and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.

Edward M. Waite; Sr.. of 727 Lincoln avenue; Charleroi; died suddenly
in Kansas City; Friday; August 24;1951;at 2:15 p.m. He had gone to the midwest city for treatment for
an ailment.
He was born February 2; 1893 in
Forest City; the son of the late William T. and Elizabeth Stradford
Waite. He came to Charleroi 35 years ago and was an employe of
the Pittsburgh Strel Company at
Monessen.
Surviving are his wife Jennie
LeClereq Waite; one son; Edward Waite; Jr.; of Shreveport; Louisiana;
four brothers; John and Dr. A. H.
Waite; of Canonsburg; Bert; of Gary; Indiana and Dr. A. J. Waite; of
Belle Vernon; and three sisters; .Mrs. T. H. Harris and Mrs. William Igoe;of Belle Vernon and Mrs. George Gooding;of Canton;Ohio. Friends will be received in the Francis C.SSlezak Funeral Home beginning Sunday;Aug.26. Services will be held Tuesday;Aug.28;1951;at 10:30 a.m.;in charge of Rev.George Kress;of Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The remains will arrive in Pittsburgh Saturday evening at 9:52. Francis C.Slezak is the funeral director.
