Mrs.Lenore S.Lenhart;wife of Ernest E.Lenhart;died Sunday;July 31st;at her home on Market street in Belle Vernon;after a lingering illness. She was born September 26;1862 at Fayette City;and was a daughter of Alpheus and Sarah Farguhar. She has been a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 38 years. Surviving are her husband;one son;Edward Lenhart;of Monongahela;and six daughters;Mrs.Thomas Hewitt;Mrs.Earl Hewitt;of Lincoln Place;Mrs.Richard Allen;Mrs.Edward Morgan of Belle Vernon;Miss Maude Lenhart and Miss Hazel Lenhart at home. One brother;James Farquhar of Zanesville;Ohio;and one sister;Mrs.J.M.Hare;of Fayette;along with twelve grandchildren also survive. The deceased was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon;the Dames of Malta;Daughters of America and a charter member of the Maccabees. Funeral services will be held from the family home;Wednesday afternoon;August 3;1927 at 2 o’clock and interment will be made in the Fayette City Cemetery. (She was later moved to Belle Vernon Cemetery)

Seized with cramps while bathing in the Monongahela river at Dunlevy Wednesday afternoon;July 26;1916;Miss Bertha Lenhart;aged 21 years;the daughter of Capt.and Mrs.Ernest Lenhart of Belle Vernon and a well known school and Sunday school teacher;was drowned. The body was recovered by Raymond Furnier of Allenport who dove in about nine feet of water. Miss Lenhart was a member of one of the old and prominent families of Belle Vernon. Capt.Lenhart;her father;is a steamboat captain having been in charge of the boat T.J.Wood for some years. Besides her father and mother;she leaves one brother;Edward;of Monongahela and the following sisters;Mrs.Thomas Hewitt of McKeesport;Mrs.Earl Hewitt of Mount Vernon;Ohio;and Misses Hazel;Lenora;Lorena and Maude at home. She was a graduate of California State Normal. She has been teaching three years in the North Belle Vernon schools;where she was highly regarded as an instructor. Miss Lenhart was well known in Charleroi where she had frequently visited with friends. Rev.B.C.Hibler of the Belle Vernon Christian Church conducted her funeral services at the Lenhart home in Belle Vernon on Friday;July 28;1916. A large number of friends attended her funeral. FRANK NICHOLAS DELLAMALVA
Frank Nicholas Dellamalva;80;of Monessen;died Friday;Aug.3;2001;in Harmon House;Mt.Pleasant;where he had been residing for the past several years. He was born June 27;1921;in Monessen;a son of the late Dominick Dellamalva and Yvonne Michaux. He was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church of Monessen and its Holy name Society;a charter member of Valley Chordsmen and a member of American Legion Post 28 of Monessen. He also served as choir director of the former St.Leonard Parish in Monessen for over 20 years. Mr.Dellamalva had also played in the Monessen Firemen’s Band and the Louhi Band. He was an employee of American Chain and Cable Co.;Pages Division;and had also worked at the former John L.Gibson Chevrolet Garage and with the Pa.State Liquor Control Board. A devoted father and grandfather;Mr.Dellamalva was an Air Force veteran of World War II;having served as a cryptographer with the 17th fighter group. Surviving are a son;Dean R.Dellamalva and wife Debbie of Monongahela;a daughter;Mrs.Phil (Maria) Giordano of Belle Vernon;a brother;Henry Dellamalva of Sun City West;Ariz.;four grandchildren;Dean R.Dellamalva Jr.and his wife Tori;Christi Dellamalva and Philip and Christopher Giordano. Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his wife;Marjorie Moncini Dellamalva;a son;Dennis Dellamalva;a sister;Dorothy Dellamalva;and an infant daughter;Anita. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the RHOME FUNERAL HOME;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen. Services will be held at Epiphany of Our Lord Church on Monday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Pati A.Wasicek;64;of 625 Henry St.;North Belle Vernon;went home to be with the Lord;surrounded by her loving family;on Monday;July 30;2001;at 4:25 p.m. She was born Mrach 17;1937;in North Charleroi;the daughter of Anna Mascara Camino;who survives and resides in Rostraver Township;and the late Frank Camino. Mrs.Wasicek was a lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon and a member of St.Sebastian R.C.Church. She retired from Duritza’s Shop-n-Save in North Belle Vernon;where she worked as a clerk and was a former steward for United Steel Workers Union at the Rostraver and Belle Vernon stores. In addition to her mother;she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law;David and Kelly Wasicek of Pittsburgh and Jon Wasicek of North Belle Vernon and fiancee Michele Sylvester;two daughters and sons-in-law;Elizabeth and Raymond Moody of Fayette City and Maggie and Eric Hurtt of Bel Air.;Md.;three grandchildren;Nicholas Wasicek of Pittsburgh;Jessica Hurtt and Caroline Hurtt;both of Bel Air;and sister;Linda Camino of Rostraver Township. In addition to her father;she was preceded in death by her husband;Jan Lee Wasicek on Feb.14;1990. THELMA GEORGETTEANDREWS ZUCCONI
Thelma Georgette (Andrews) Zucconi;87;of the Residence at Hilltop;Monongahela;formerly of Belle Vernon;passed away Sunday;July 29;2001;in the Havencrest Nursing Home;Carroll Township. She was born June 28;1914;in Speers;a daughter of the late George E.and Elizabeth Bessie Andrews. A 1932 graduate of Charleroi High School;she also graduated from the Bertha Leonard Business School with the class of 1933. She married Homer Raymond Zucconi in 1939;and they owned and operated Zucconi Distributing from 1938 to 1990. She managed the business on her own while her husband served with the U.S.Army Air Corps during World War II. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church;Belle Vernon;and had been the president of the Tuesday Evening Civic Club in 1957-58 and1958-1959. As president; she directed the Club’s efforts in
fund drives for the March of
Dimes; the Salvation Army of
Westmoreland County; the Red
Cross; Easter Seals; the Boy
Scouts; Cub Scouts and the
Girl Scouts. Under the Club’s
sponsorship; a new Cub Scout
pack was started. The group
was also instrumental in establishing
the Girl Scout Little
House in Belle Vernon. During
her tenure as president of the
Tuesday Evening Civic Club;she served on the Belle Vernon Library Board and was active with the Mon Valley Hospital
Auxiliary from 1986 to 1996;
receiving a 10;000-hour pin for
her service. Along with her parents; she was predeceased
by her husband; Homer
R. Zucconi; two brothers. John
L. and Homer Andrews: and a
sister; Irene Toth. Survivors
include two sons. Homer R. Jr.
and his wife; Barbara; of Belle

Formerly of Donora;she had resided in Belle Vernon since
1955. She retired in 1974 after
38 years of teaching in the
Rostraver and Belle Vernon
School Districts. Survivors
include three sisters; K. Faye
Giles of Salisbury; N.C.; Betty
K. Vizza of Belle Vernon and
Gail K. Flower of Smithton. In
addition to her parents; her
husband; Ernest P. Dolfi;
preceded her in death in 1957.
