daughter. He was born Oct. 31;
1915. in Arnold City; son of the
late Charles and Anna Bakush
Metrosky. Mr. Metrosky had been a resident of Washington Township for the past 47 years
and was Byzantine Catholic by faith. He was a retired owner of
Lynnwood Service Station and
was also retired from the
Bethlehem Coal Mine.
Surviving are his wife. Anna
Sobeck Metrosky; to whom he
was married 62 years: a son
and daughter-in-law. Ted and
Carol Metrosky of Rostraver
Township; two daughters;

Township and Patricia Morris
of Washington Township: six

Maynard N.Jesick;92;of Speer St.;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday Sept.18;2001 in Havencrest Nursing Home. A son of the late p. and Mary Smith Jesick;he war born in Fayette City on Aug.13;1909. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. Mr.Jesick was the last surviving charter member of the Belle Vernon Lions Club and served the club as president and was presented the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award;the highest honor bestowed on a Lion. He had resided in Belle Vernon for over 65 years and retired in 1974 from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co.;where he worked as an inspector in the tube mill. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law;Randy L. and Ann Jesick of Indiana;Pa.; a brother and sister-in-law;Thomas and Betty Jesick;and two sisters;Helen Jesick and Margaret Brown;all of Belle Vernon;four grandchildren;Katrina Quinn of Merrimack;N.H.;Gretchen Jesick of Weirton;WVa.;Matthew Jesick of Fairfax;Va.;and Mark Jesick of Indiana;Pa.;and three Great-grandchildren;Tyler;Ryan and Jordan Quinn. Earl H.Neil;76;of 609 Green St.;North Belle Vernon;entered into rest on Monday;Sept.17;2001;at 7:51 a.m.at Mon Valley Hospital. Born Aug.11;1925;in Belle Vernon;he was a son of the late Earl D.and Josephine Flora Neil. Mr.Neil was a lifelong reseident of North Belle Vernon and was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon and was past president of the Holy Name Society of the parish. Mr.Neil retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;Allenport plant;where he worked as a labor leader in the hot mill with 40 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II where he served as a corporal in the U.S.Marine Corps with the First Marine division in the Pacific campaign and was awarded two Purple Hearts. Mr.Neil was a life member and former trustee of North Belle Vernon Fire Department;member and past commander of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659;life member of DAV;founder and president of the first Belle Vernon Booster Club;and a former member of the North Belle Vernon council for four years. On Sept.7;2001;Mr.Neil was inducted into the Belle Vernon Area Football Hall of Fame by the Belle Vernon Quarterback Club.
