Eugene V. Russo; 79; of Speers; died Tuesday; July 23; 2002; at his home. A son of the late Michael and Millie Gelotti Russo; he was born in Belle Vernon on April 28; 1923. Mr. Russo was a member of American Legion Post 659 and the Moose Club; both of Belle Vernon. Formerly of Belle Vernon; he had resided in Speers since 1963. Mr. Russo retired in 1985 from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. with 44 years of service and; along with his wife; owned and operated Russo’s Rink in North Belle Vernon from 1979 to 1986. He was a World War II veteran of both the U.S. Army and Navy.
