Mrs. Agamedi was a resident of Carroll Township for the past five years; having previously resided in Charleroi and Belle Vernon. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Charleroi and retired as a secretary from the former Fox Grocery in Charleroi and Rostraver Township. Mrs. Agamedi was a longtime volunteer at Mon Valley Hospital and a member of the Annita Garibaldi Society of Belle Vernon. She was educated in the Allenport Public Schools and graduated from Charleroi High School in 1941. She received her registered nurse certification from the Allegheny General School of Nursing in 1945. She served as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of the U.S. Air Force during World War II. She served at army bases in Richmond; Va. And at Seymour Johnson base in North Dakota. Following the war; she worked on the second surgical floor of the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. She was a member of the Allenport United Methodist Church; Mon Valley Nurses Association; and the Yough-A-Mon camping club.
