Henrietta Rainey Bair; 66; of Brownsville; died Saturday; Sept. 28; 2002; in Select Specialty Hospital; Greensburg. A daughter of the late Edwin and Dorothy Sethman Rainey; she was born in Belle Vernon on Dec. 25; 1935. Mrs. Bair was a member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church of Brownsville and enjoyed gardening; crocheting and quilting. She was raised in Denbo and graduated from Centerville High School in 1954. Mrs. Bair resided in Brownsville for the past 17 years and was formerly of Ohio. Survivors include her husband of 38 years; LeRoy W. Bair; one daughter; Dorothy Bair; at home; one sister and brother-in-law; Darlene and Mike Skobel; one brother; Ronald Rainey; one cousin with whom she was raised; Dorothy Carr McDonald; all of Belle Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. She was born Sept. 16; 1934; in Deatsville; Ala.; a daughter of the late William Greaty Bowden and Lula Pearl Dillered. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband; Bernard R. Davis; on Sept. 9; 1998. She was Protestant by faith. Survivors include one son; Bernard W. Marilyn J. Marklewicz; 76; of Fayette Avenue; Belle Vernon; passed away Thursday; Sept. 26; 2002; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late John Marshall Bevan and Phyllis S. Murray Bevan; she was born July 30; 1926; in Charleroi. Mrs. Marklewicz was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon and its H.O.A. class. Formerly of Charleroi; she had resided in Belle Vernon since 1952. Survivors include her husband of 55 years; Joseph G. Marklewicz; one son and daughter-in-law; Scott and Judith Marklewicz; and one brother and sister-in-law; Marvin and Marlene Bevan; all of Belle Vernon; one sister and brother-in-law; Nancy and Raymond Jones of Donora; one grandson; Jared Minor; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by one son; James Bevan Marklewicz; who died in 1968; one brother; John M. Mario O. Rusty Pesi; 78; of Belle Vernon; Washington Township; died Wednesday; September 25; 2002 in the Canonsburg General Hospital. Born in Belle Vernon on May 30; 1924; Mr. Pesi was the son of the late Carlo and Assunta Mazzei Pesi. He was a retired crane operator for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Allenport Plant; having worked for 40 years. He was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church in Rostraver Township; where he attended the Men’s Sunday School Class. Prior to his illness; he delivered Meals on Wheels; worked at the Rostraver Food Bank and was recognized by the Rostraver Township Chapter of AARP for outstanding community service. A veteran of World War II; he served as a surgical technician in the European Theater from 1943-1946 with the 42nd General Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 58 years; Lillian Headley Pesi; one daughter and son-in-law; Linda and John Dudash of Eighty Four; one sister; Yolanda Pesi Neil of Belle Vernon; two grandchildren; Michael Dudash and wife Lori; and Jonna McConaughy and husband David; two great-grandsons; Ethan Dudash and Alec McConaughy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by two brothers; Ector and Carl Pesi; and two sisters; Rosita Fantini and Eva McGill.
