She was born Nov. 10; 1931; in Donora; a daughter of the late Roy P. and Emaline Behanna Johnson. A homemaker; Mrs. Roberts was a member of Mentor Road Bible Church in Elizabeth; where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She is survived by one son; Daniel Roy Johnson of Monessen; two daughters; Mrs. Robert (Jacqueline) Baluch of Dunbar Township and Mrs. Gary (Marlene) Haines of Charleroi; one brother; Dennis Johnson of Fellsburg; two sisters; Alta Bobin of Webster and Myra Pascarella of Port St; Lucie; Fla.; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and her step mother; Elsie Marie Rosborough Johnson of Port St. Lucie; Fla. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; George J. Roberts; in 1993; and one son; Lee J. Roberts; in 1969. LT.COL.MILSOM ( MEL ) JENION
Lieutenant Colonel Milsom Mel N. Jenion; USA (Ret.); 57; of Nolanville; Texas; passed away Sunday; June 29; 2003; in his home after a lengthy and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. A former Monessen and Charleroi area resident; he was born June 4; 1946; in Pittsburgh to Milsom H. and Mary E. Oelschlager Jenion. Mel was a 1964 graduate of Monessen High School and a 1968 graduate of West Virginia University. He was formerly employed by Aaron Industries of Belle Vernon and Gerald Vitale Incorporated of Monessen. He joined the military in 1969 and retired after a distinguished career of 28 years. His service included overseas tours in the Federal Republic of Germany; Korea and Thailand; as well as stateside tours in Uniontown; the Huntington; W.Va.; and Pittsburgh districts; and Ft. Hood; Texas; where he retired. For the last five years; he worked as a civil service employee in the G3 Plans and Exercise Headquarters and Headquarter Company; III Corps; Ft Hood; Texas. Lt. Col. Jenion was a member of the VFW Post 3892; Harker Heights; Texas; and a life member of American Legion Post 22 of Charleroi and American Legion Post 0223 in Killeen; Texas. He was also a member of the Reserves Officers Association; Texas Early Day Tractor and Engine Association of Temple; Texas; and a life member of the Texas State Rifle Association. Since the age of 16; he was an avid ham radio operator; station call K3 SNI. Along with his love for his ham radio; he enjoyed working with his hands. He recently refurbished his 1951 Super C International Harvester tractor; a 1930’s windmill and erected a 70-foot radio tower. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed caring for his farm animals. In spite of the pain he endured in recent months; Mel displayed an extraordinarily strong and fighting spirit. He has been an inspiration to his many friends all over the world and to his family. Mel is survived by his loving wife of 30 years; Mary Perun Jenion; two daughters; Melanie E. Jenion and Natalie C. Jenion; both of Nolanville; one sister and brother-in-law; Barbara and John Raymond of New Eagle; two nephews; John Anders and wife Kim and family of Coal Center; and Bill Anders and wife Leslie of North Versailles; two nieces; Ellen Palmer and husband Ronnie and family; and Beth Homer and husband Max and family; all of New Eagle; and many other relatives from the Oelschlager; Symons and Jenion families. Julia Sepashe Conner; 86; of Pricedale; died Tuesday; July 1; 2003; at Beverly Health Care; Uniontown. Born July 22; 1916; in Pricedale; she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Ambrose Sepashe. Mrs. Conner was a lifelong resident of Pricedale; a homemaker; member of the Presbyterian Church of Coal Center and had retired from the Belle Vernon Area School District where she was employed as a custodian. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Barbara and James Roberts of Coal Center and Christine and Gerald Anderson of Belle Vernon; two sons and one daughter-in-law; William Jack and Sally Conner of Richeyville and Ken Conner of Pricedale; three sisters; Pearl Walko of Monessen; Sarah Zolock of Rostraver Township and Midge Rabocci of Pricedale; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Albert Conner; one grandson; Bill Roberts; one daughter-in-law; Patty Conner; four sisters; Susan Nagy; Elizabeth Etro; Magdeline Sepashe and Mary Massie; and two brothers; Joseph and William Sepashe. Elizabeth D. Lutheran; 92; of Munhall; formerly of Donora; died Saturday; June 28; 2003; in Monongahela Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. She was raised in Donora. Mrs. Lutheran was a very supporting member of St. Therese Roman Catholic Church; donating the St. Joseph bell. She also was the owner of Lutheran’s Cafe in Munhall from 1940 to 1971. She is survived by her devoted children; Betty Lutheran Spadafore of Lynnwood and Patricia Winters and husband James of Munhall; three sisters; Veronica Datovich; Helen Zuraw and Ann Kopanic; one brother; Louis Majors; two loving grandchildren; Sharon Rygelski and David Spadafore; both of Belle Vernon; two precious great-grandchildren; Natalie Rygelski and Autumn Spadafore; and devoted friends Mike Price and T.K. Paul Temoshenka Sr.; 76; of Monessen; died Wednesday; Nov. 27; 2002; in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Aug. 17; 1926; in Monessen; a son of the late Steven Temoshenka and Anna Temoshenka. He was an employee of American Chain and Cable Co.; Page’s Division prior to retirement. Surviving are his wife; Mary Chase Temoshenka; children; Mrs. Paul (Mary Ann) Baran of Belle Vernon; Paul Temoshenka and wife Catherine of Monessen; and Sheryl Temoshenka of West Newton; a brother; Andrew Temoshenka; two sisters; Anna Foster and Agnes Gillingham; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death; in addition to his parents; were a sister; Helen Foster; a brother; Steven Temoshenka; and a granddaughter; Roxanne Temoshenka.
